Thanksgiving In Richfield.

I know, I know. I've told you a million times.
But I'm going to tell you again...
I LOVE TRADITIONS.

I love them so much, I almost feel sorry for my future kids. (Almost).

When I decided I was going to marry Cole (5 days into the relationship), I was emotional about 2 things.
1. Not being able to live with my Mom anymore. (I still get emotional about that once a month).
2. Having to "share" holidays with his family.

I love my family. I love my family's traditions. And I love that they love the traditions as much as I do.

Our first holiday engaged, we decided to go with his family to Richfield.

I love his family so much. You guys don't even know. It's not like I married Cole and gained in-laws; it feels like they have always just been my family. I get along with his aunts and uncles even better than I get along with some of mine. His brothers aren't my brother-in-laws; they are my brothers. You get the point.

I love my in-laws.
But I was feeling a little bit disappointed that I had to miss out on a Thanksgiving with my own family.

UNTIL I GOT THERE.
And realized, that Cole's family loves traditions as much as me.
And that tradition just happened to include GUNS AND PUMPKINS AND BLOWING THINGS UP.
If you don't believe me, just ask Grandpa Andersen and his Antique Pistol how fun it is.

So, this year, when we had to decide which family we were going to spend which holiday with - we didn't even have to think about it for more than 5 seconds.
I love Thanksgiving in Richfield.
I am a Richfield-Junkie.
I am an ANDERSEN junkie.
I love driving to the middle of nowhere, and hanging out with the in-laws that don't really feel like in-laws at all. .

I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE STAN ANDERSEN. He's my literal favorite person, I think! And hellooo, jack of all trades. I'll never get over the walls or fireplace. Kill me.
